all mic'd up in the studio
tonight we did rhythm guitar and my lead parts for three of the four songs. I had worked an open to close today, so I was feeling tired and my playing was getting sloppier as the night went on, so we decided to wait until thursday for the fourth song. we are taking tomorrow night off. the engineer has church, and i'd like to go to my community group again (only been able to make it once so far). but we will resume on thursday afternoon for my parts on the last song, then Darrian will put his lead parts on them all that night, and maybe get keyboard stuff done too. then we'll start vocals on friday. i'm excited, everything sounds amazing and better than i expected. our engineer, James Jackson, is fantastic. he has a real ear for shaping sounds and getting the best out of every take. make sure to add us as friends on www.myspace.com/oftimeandtide.
