Of Time and Tide has had a recent stroke of good fortune. We have made some new fans, new friends with other bands, new venue contacts, and a radio station in Florida wants to play us in rotation.
About two weeks ago, we blew out a speaker in the speaker we were using for vocals at our practice space. We were able to pool some money and get a new mixer. Justin already had a 2000 watt amp and two huge tower speakers in his basement that his brother left him, seen standing next to LeRoy.
It's a small 12 hannel mixer, so we now all can have microphones to work on vocal harmonies, which we couldn't do previously. We can pay more attention to vocals, which is why I think we lost the battle of the bands this past friday, and even start to write additional vocal lines for both Aaron and myself. Triple harmonies!
We also now have a van thanks to Aaron's immaculate credit score. We have tenderly named it Echo. It's a 1990 Ford Ecoline, and it fits 7. Perfect for a band of 5 and a merch girl (Paula) to hit the road. Here are Kelsey, LeRoy, and Aaron in front of the filthy little wonder. It needs a really good cleaning.
We want to hit the road soon and do mini-tours around the midwest and get our feet wet in different cities' music scenes. It's maiden out-of-state voyage will be at the end of February when we all go down to Wichita, KS to play at some college I can never remember the name of.
Well that's all the news for now. We'll start UStreaming again soon. Hang in there.
