I have started assembling some gear for my big trip. I got a 2 man hiker tent, which is perfect for just me and the rest of my gear. I also got a 65 liter backpack. It's pretty sweet. I researched them online, and then found them on ebay. I also tracked down a magnesium fire starter, like the kind Bear Grylls uses on Man vs Wild. I got all three of those things for less than $50. I'm happy about that. I also plan on getting some hiking boots, but those might have to wait until the next pay check.
As stated in the previous blog, I'm going to be selling some stuff. I'll post pictures and information about them soon, but here's a brief list of the stuff I'm trying to clear out.

I thought about starting a new blog just for the planning of this trip, but then I realized that not enough people even read this one for that to be a necessity.
