I woke up this morning and made a weak cup of coffee (I have no excuse for it except that I’m used to making larger quantities, and was very unsure of the bean-to-water-ratio on a single cup). I only seem to own about 10 spoons and the food I eat seems to primarily require spoon-feeding (spoon for cereal, spoon for yogurt, etc).
As I primarily use spoons, there never seems to be any clean ones when it comes time to stir my coffee and since I would rather BBQ my roommate and eat him than wash a yogurt-encrusted spoon when I first wake up, I stirred it with a fork.
It was the wrong choice.
Have you ever tried stirring your coffee with a fork? It makes the most God-awful SKRITCH-SCRATCHING sound on the bottom of the mug and pretty much makes you want to gouge your own ears out with a spoon (if there were any clean ones).
The moral of the story is...that's why it's important to have friends who work at Starbucks.
