Cowboy Code

If you are riding a high horse, there ain’t no way to get down off it gracefully.

Some men talk 'cause they got somethin' to say. Others talk 'cause they got to say somethin.

When you're throwing your weight around, don't be surprised to have it thrown around by someone else.

If'n you walk around with a chip on yer shoulder, ya get mad at ever'body that even looks at ya crosswise.

An angry bull is less dangerous than an angry woman.

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.

The size of the words don't tell nothin' about the size of the mind.

If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.

If it don't seem like it's worth the effort, then it probably ain't.

Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.

You should never go back on yer word, or a trust confided in him.
